विश्वाधारं गगनसदृशं मेघवर्णं शुभाङ्गम् ॥

सत्ययुग
The Age of Truth — dharma stands on all four legs. The cosmic order is restored from primordial water and earth.

Dharma walks on three legs. The Lord descends as kṣatriya, brāhmaṇa-with-axe, and as the ideal king — Maryāda Puruṣottam.

Dharma stands on two legs. The flute of Vṛndāvana is heard; Kṛṣṇa sings the Bhagavad Gītā on the field of dharma.

Every descent is a meditation on one of these four — and on the moment when they meet.
अवतारण
