01 The premise

Save what we know.
Not who we are.

The Moon is falling. Humanity has eight years to launch a future it may never see.

In California, scientist Egon Stein proposes REDO: five AI-operated ships carrying dormant clone bodies and the records of the people who made them. The originals remain on Earth. The counterparts will first become conscious at their destinations.

This is a story about memory, responsibility, and the difference between preserving a life and owning the one that follows.

The central question

What do we owe a future
that will never be ours?

Two moons in view.
A different sky.

Agape and Ales are the two moons described in JINX above the Hades Ocean. A local day lasts 36 hours.

Distance ≠ duration

35 light-years is a distance. The story's fictional metric-compression drive shortens the route to an approximately six-year journey. Bodies travel dormant; minds begin after arrival.

04 The people behind the plan

More than a manifest.

A name is not an identity.
A memory is not the same life.

05 The Earth-reference clock

Fifteen years.
A narrowing horizon.

Choose a year.
Enable plot spoilers for the full record.

The ancient prologue sits outside this timeline. Modern dates use Earth's calendar; explicitly local days on Zan last 36 hours.
